from Principal Financial careersWhat You'll Do As a Defined Benefit Determination Analyst III, you'll independently analyze and process more complex retirement calculations and review participant data within established timing and quality standards. In this position, you'll serve as a resource for calculation and transaction processing as well as assist in the management and review of participant data and retirement information. Here are a few examples of the types of things you'll do: Perform and review complex retirement calculations and transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, client/legal documents, and tax requirements, while documenting all steps taken. Investigate and resolve calculation and transaction problems. Consistently meet performance standards by ensuring retirement calculations are completed accurately, on time, and with high quality. May be responsible for mentoring, peer to peer training and quality review. Lead or participate in special projects, system testing, and the resolution of escalated issues, while handling other job-related responsibilities as needed. May evaluate client and legal documents, and/or collaborate with internal business partners to ensure alignment, compliance, and process efficiency. Identify, communicate and implement efficiencies around workflows, solutions and procedures to improve quality and enhance customer service.
