Job Summary:
This role supports Legal department operations and communications within the Legal Operations team, managing the people, communications, and program infrastructure that enables an effective and connected Legal organization. The Sr. Analyst is responsible for executing workforce planning, employee experience programming, department communications, and identifying process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and engagement across the Legal department.Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project plans for contract remediations, audits, and migrating acquired company contracts
- Manage the eBilling system and provide billing support
- Resolve complex billing issues by coordinating with multiple teams
- Review invoices and timekeeper rates for compliance with policies
- Manage onboarding of law firms into vendor management and eBilling systems
- Collect forecast and accrual data from stakeholders and vendors
- Generate internal reports on invoice aging, matter management, and forecasting
- Support legal project management and process improvement initiatives
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:
Serve as the key point of contact for Legal department headcount, maintaining accurate and current data for all full-time employee (FTE) and contingent workforce (CW) roles across the global Legal organization.
Maintain a complete and current roster of all FTE and CW roles across the Legal department, including role details, location, cost center assignment, manager, and employment status
Draft, edit, and distribute employee-facing communications including department newsletters, leadership announcements, and All Hands meeting content, coordinating logistics and follow-up end to end.
Design and manage the new hire experience for Legal department joiners, including new hire onboarding and orientation programming, in partnership with HR and team leads.
Own the administration and content strategy for PayPal's Legal department intranet and development programming.
Manage the Legal department's portfolio of subscriptions and research tools, including renewals, usage tracking, and cost optimization in partnership with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Support process improvement initiatives across all areas of responsibility, applying a continuous improvement mindset to enhance efficiency, employee experience, and program delivery.
3+ years of experience in legal operations, business operations, chief of staff functions, or a related role within an in-house legal department or professional services environment
Strong written communication skills with demonstrated experience drafting professional communications for diverse audiences
Proficiency in collaboration and productivity tools (e.g., SharePoint, Smartsheet, PowerPoint, or similar platforms)
Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously with strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through
Ability to interact professionally with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
Experience with intranet content management platforms (e.g., SharePoint or similar) preferred
Familiarity with learning management systems or corporate training program administration preferred
Knowledge of process improvement methodologies or project management frameworks preferred
