This Production Management Workflows & Education role is key to the expansion of the studio and our ability to produce quality animation content at scale. The role is primarily focused on supporting productions through our production management tracking tools and workflows. The perfect candidate will have in-depth pipeline knowledge from having worked on several productions in either Series, Features or both, with strong experience in Flow Production Tracking, awareness of key efficiencies, and a keen interest in other production management tools.
This unique role will partner with cross-functional teams across all of Netflix from technical operations to title management, across three global locations and everything in between.
Responsibilities:
* Evaluate, inform, and develop studio and production workflow processes taking into consideration needs of each office, the consistency of workflows between locations, and the long term health and efficiency of the studio
* Create and maintain a cohesive suite of training material and educational programs for production management users
* Inform and execute elements of the development and merging of two separate end-to-end animation pipelines as we build toward one streamlined pipeline
* Create a training plan that best fits a Show’s needs and recommend most efficient and/or paved path workflows
* Provide day-to-day, on demand, cross locations support and guidance for Shows as it relates to production management tools, paved path workflows and new workflows. This includes: issue resolution, workflow customizations, and user education
* Serve as primary trainer on production management focused tools created by the technology team
* Identify recurring issues that need to be escalated to developers for tool wide fixes
* Maintain an awareness of requests and issues across Shows and locations and work with cross-functional teams to evolve new tools, improve current tools, and/or create new workflows
* FlowPT site configuration and maintenance which includes communicating with Autodesk for site/feature requests, troubleshooting, site cloning, and beta testing of new features
* Provide feedback on proprietary tools developed by cross-functional teams from an end user perspective and integration into current workflows
* Testing tools before rollout and milestone upgrades to catch bugs and end user inefficiencies
* Translate technical runbooks into end user documentation before tool is released for training and onboarding
* Be open to new ideas with an eye toward innovation
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree with relevant coursework experience
* 6-8 years experience in feature animation film production, ideally across a variety of departments - Production Supervisor level experience at a minimum
* Super-user experience with Flow Production Tracking for both production use and reporting
* Experience handling multiple projects at various stages of production
* Great communicator to a varied audience, including Studio Executive and Film Leadership Levels
* Excellent team player
* Ideally has experience developing and rolling out Flow Production Tracking for another large-scale animation studio
This role is based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Hybrid Role (Minimum requirement of 3 days a week in the office).

We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, location, skills, and experience. The overall market range for this role is typically $49.00 - 67.00 CAD hourly. This reflects total compensation; we do not have bonuses.
