from MongoDB careersMongoDB is seeking a release manager for the core database. We’re looking for a versatile, highly technical and extremely organized individual to own and improve the build and release process for MongoDB. As a driver of the cross-functional release process, you’ll be partnering with developers, upper management and external MongoDB stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality releases and correctly prioritizing release related tasks and bug reports.
An ideal candidate is comfortable writing application code, can communicate complex technical concepts well, and has great diagnostic intuition as it applies to complex distributed architectures.
This role will be based remotely in the United States.
What you’ll do
- Continue to build on existing automation to simplify the release process
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a global view of cases that have been escalated to the Server Development teams and drive them forward to resolution
- Manage the release of MongoDB to deliver critical fixes and major feature improvements
- Investigate and summarize significant issues for internal and external users
- Recognize patterns in a sea of information and take action accordingly
- Anticipate potential user impact from identified issues and ensure solutions are prioritized
