Trellint is seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead, build, and enhance our application suite (enforcement, adjudication, and permits) for our customers. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in Java and/or .NET, proven team leadership, a forward-thinking approach to AI-augmented development, leadership experience in managing development teams, and familiarity with backend systems collaboration/integration. This role will require goal setting, leadership and cross-functional collaboration across developers, product managers, operations, and QA to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions with modern AI tooling integrated into every phase of the development lifecycle.Job Description:
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor a team which will be a mix of Java, .NET and VB developers, ensuring optimal performance and growth.
- Use AI tools to assist with code reviews, and champion AI-powered test generation (unit, integration, regression) to increase test coverage.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Project Management of Deliverables and On-time Delivery.
- Ensure Financial and Time Tracking is implemented to track Budget Guidelines and QSR's.
Development
- Oversee the development and maintenance of enterprise-level applications.
- Ensure code quality, application performance, and scalability.
- Address technical challenges and provide hands-on guidance when needed.
- Lead team adoption of AI coding assistants (Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) to accelerate feature delivery and reduce manual effort.
