Overview

The People Operations team is seeking a Director, Lifecycle Products to help transform employee lifecycle experiences.

Our Lifecycle Products team designs and delivers end-to-end operational services and employee experiences. Our products support every candidate, employee, and manager at Microsoft as they are hired and onboard, as their roles and lives change throughout employment, and when they leave the company. As we enter an exciting phase of modernization, we are leveraging AI to enhance our experiences and increase agility in response to rapid change.

The person in this role will represent Lifecycle Products in managing and resolving complex issues, taking in new work and defining durable solutions, and leveraging our products in support of broader HR and company initiatives. They will lead transformation in alignment with Human Resources (HR) strategy and vision – from scaling for stability to scaling for adaptability – building solutions and capability that help us respond quickly and with agility to emerging and evolving business needs.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

This role will work across product, HR, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions that improve employee experiences and enable more agile and adaptable ways of working.

Responsibilities
  • Represent People Operations and Lifecycle Products (POPS) in net-new, cross-group initiatives. Partner across teams within POPS, across HR, and with business groups and partners across the company to define scalable and durable solutions that are aligned to enterprise standards.
  • Own portfolio-level intake and prioritization for Lifecycle Products. Establish clear frameworks for evaluating demand, tradeoffs, and investment decisions across lifecycle products.
  • Lead transformation of the lifecycle product model by modernizing how work is delivered across products and geographies to enable agility, flexibility, and responsiveness.
  • Design solutions focused on seamless, end-to-end employee experience across organizations, products, and geographies.
  • Build and scale new ways of working, enabling flexible, differentiated service models across Lifecycle Products.
  • Act as the intake and escalation point and for executive and business-critical needs, requests, and issues across the Lifecycle Products scope – work across teams to drive solutions and resolution.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12+ years experience in product management or a related field
  • Prior experience in Human Resources
  • Experience leading enterprise-scale, cross-functional initiatives
  • Proven track record of influencing stakeholders and driving alignment
