Job description
from Micron careersOur vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
Join an inclusive team passionate about one thing: using their expertise in the relentless pursuit of innovation for customers and partners. The solutions we build help make everything from virtual reality experiences to breakthroughs in neural networks possible. We do it all while committing to integrity, sustainability, and giving back to our communities. Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.
Project Description:
–This internship project offers hands-on exposure to semiconductor dry etch process and equipment development within a manufacturing environment. The intern will participate in structured experimental studies to evaluate opportunities for improving process efficiency, reducing material cost, and minimizing process variation through data-driven analysis.
Project Objectives
–Evaluate opportunities for process time reduction, material cost optimization, and process variation reduction through designed experiments
–Build foundational knowledge of dry etch process principles and equipment fundamentals
–Understand the relationship between key process parameters and product patterning outcomes
Project Scope:
–Learn the fundamentals of dry etch processes and associated hardware systems
–Gain exposure to one dry etch application used in Micron manufacturing
–Understand process/equipment characterization techniques and how process parameters (process vectors/knobs) influence patterning performance on product wafers
