- Engage in studies and research to advance the state of the art in thermal modeling and analysis, thermal protection materials and thermal/structural survivability analysis to achieve program requirements
- Interact with experts across multiple domains to develop and analyze advanced weapon systems
- Document and present findings to government agencies and sponsors
Qualifications
You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...
- Possess a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other relevant technical discipline
- Have 5+ years of relevant experience in thermal science, thermal modeling and analysis for aerospace applications
- Have strong technical knowledge in the integration of aerothermal solutions with thermal and structural modeling frameworks
- Possess practical experience in thermal modeling using finite element analysis (FEA) software, e.g., ABAQUS
