Your role and responsibilities
As a Brand Sales Specialist for IBM's Automation Platform, you will create demand and progress opportunities to close for Automation Platform solutions.
This role involves driving sales efforts for a wide range of products, covering the entire Application Lifecyle. Middleware, DevOps, Integration , Observability, Cyber, ITFM & FinOps , ALM , …
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Develop Sales and territory Management Strategy working with the internal ecosystem within the Automation brand & account teams
- Execute sales strategies and plans to achieve sales targets, staying up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge.
- Demand Opportunities: Create and identify new sales opportunities engaging with CxO & working closely with Client Technical/business teams, to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Progress Opportunities to Close: Build relationships with clients and drive sales efforts to progress opportunities through the sales cycle, ensuring timely closure of deals.
- Secure client satisfaction and solution adoption : Collaborate with internal teams to secure delivery of the Automation solutions to meet client needs,
- Client-Facing Activities: Engage in client-facing activities , including sales calls, meetings, and presentations, to promote Automation Platform solutions and build strong relationships with clients.
Required technical and professional expertise
Automation Platforms Background : Experience with a range of Automation Platform solutions, with the ability to identify and create new sales opportunities.
Technical Knowledge: Exposure to products and projects that requires similar Integration plateforms, DevOps, Observability Solutions,… and an understanding of how they can be leveraged to meet client needs.
Sales Cycle Management: Proven track record with progressing opportunities through the sales cycle, building relationships with clients, and driving sales efforts to ensure timely closure of deals.
Industry Trend Awareness: Familiarity with industry trends and competitor activity, with the ability to stay up-to-date and maintain a competitive edge in the market
Preferred technical and professional experience
Additional Automation Solutions Knowledge: Exposure to other Automation Platform solutions such as High Performance Computing, API Management platforms, IT Financial Management solutions, ALM …
Understanding of the different Software licensing and engagement models, including knowledge of SaaS and Subscription.
Industry-Specific Knowledge: Experience working with clients in specific industries, such as finance, CPG , manufacturing or healthcare, with an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in these sectors
