You would be expected to correlate device performance with modelling and theoretical predictions, identify fidelity limiting mechanisms, and propose new directions to pursue to improve IBM's quantum computers. We are looking for people with prior experience in experimental quantum computing, but not necessarily superconducting qubits, who can work effectively as an independent contributor in a large dynamic team of scientists.
