About The Opportunity
At Grubhub, we are obsessed with architecting merchant success through a deep understanding of their business needs and a commitment to providing the strategic support they need to thrive. As the Associate Director of Field Productivity, you will lead the engine that powers our front-line teams. This is a unique, hybrid leadership role designed to bridge the gap between what our reps know (Enablement) and how they work (Tooling).
You will lead a multi-disciplinary team of Enablement Specialists and Salesforce/Tooling Administrators to build a frictionless, high-velocity revenue machine. Your mission is to ensure that every team, from high-volume SMB and complex Enterprise accounts to our specialized Advertising, Campus, and Corporate verticals, has the right knowledge, the right content, and the most automated toolset possible to drive maximum impact in every merchant interaction.
The Impact You Will Make
1. Strategic Enablement & Revenue Growth
Revenue Acceleration: Move beyond "training" to focus on outcomes; directly impacting ramp time, increasing average deal size, and improving win rates through targeted coaching.
Full Lifecycle Support: Design enablement strategies that support the entire merchant journey, equipping both Sales and Success teams to drive acquisition, retention, and upsell.
Methodology Expertise: Standardize sales methodologies across all business lines, tailoring the approach for the unique nuances of Grubhub’s different products and platforms.
Cross-Functional Bridge: Serve as the primary liaison between Product, Marketing, and the Field to translate product launches and marketing campaigns into actionable sales plays.
2. Tooling, Salesforce & AI Strategy
Unified Productivity Roadmap: Lead the Salesforce Admin and Tooling team to ensure the CRM is a "cockpit" for reps. You will prioritize enhancements that automate manual entry and provide guided selling paths.
AI-Enhanced Workflows: Identify opportunities to leverage Generative AI and machine learning (e.g., automated call scoring, AI-driven prospecting, and content generation) to augment rep intelligence and speed up the merchant lifecycle.
Strategic Automation: Proactively eliminate "productivity leaks" in the Enterprise and SMB workflows. You understand the why behind automation: returning high-value "strategy time" to the field by removing low-value administrative burdens.
Tech Stack Optimization: Audit and manage our suite of tools to ensure high ROI, deep integration, and widespread adoption.
3. Tactical Execution & Knowledge Management
Internal Communications: Own the cadence and quality of field communications, including weekly newsletters and All-Hands, ensuring the field is aligned, informed, and inspired.
Content Architecture: Oversee the central knowledge repository and sales collateral library, ensuring all assets are optimized for high-impact merchant interactions.
Onboarding Excellence: Scale a world-class onboarding program that drastically reduces "Time to Value" for new hires across all business units.
What You Bring to the Table
The ideal leader for this role should possess a blend of strategic vision and operational pragmatism. You do not need to be a Salesforce developer, but you must be a "power user" who understands what is possible within a CRM; and more importantly, how the CRM and other systems can be best used in the field to be most effective.
Experience: 8+ years in Sales Enablement, RevOps, or Sales Leadership, with 3-4 years managing high-performing teams.
A "Unified" Background: Deep understanding of Sales Enablement best practices combined with a strong working knowledge of Salesforce architecture and the modern Sales AI landscape.
Strategic Automation & AI Vision: You don't just automate for speed; you automate for impact. You have a clear perspective on how to leverage AI to enhance (not just replace) human interactions and implementing these solutions within a CRM.
Business Versatility: Experience supporting diverse sales motions, from high-volume SMB cycles to complex Enterprise and Media/Advertising sales.
Executive Presence: Ability to influence senior stakeholders and present a clear ROI for productivity and tooling investments.
Operational Excellence: Expert-level skills in managing knowledge bases (Guru), LMS platforms, and internal communication strategies.
Why Grubhub?
Impact: You are architecting the future of how Grubhub goes to market.
Unified Power: You have the rare opportunity to control both the training and the tools, removing the silos that slow most companies down.
Complexity: You get to solve productivity puzzles across five distinct business units, ensuring every merchant interaction counts.
