NPI Operations Program Manager, Pixel Accessories

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. <br><br>As a New Product Introduction (NPI) program manager, you will be the operations leader to launch new products with emphasis on all development activities and ensure transition to production within quality, cost and capacity parameters.The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
<h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul>
<li>Manage a new product ramp, from initial design validation to mass production phase.</li>
<li>Drive ramp readiness with engineering, operations and contract manufacturers, focus on overall capacity planning, manufacturing process scalability and bring-up plan that includes factory space, labor hiring, training and production lines qualifications.</li>
<li>Manage all operations related communications through the organization, call-out issues and present solutions and risk mitigations to cross-functional executive teams.</li>
<li>Support mechanical tooling fixture validation builds when design is mature, from the last phase of design development through initial mass production.</li>
<li>Lead Product Release Qualification (PRQs) for yield/quality improvement and cost reduction. Clarify PRQ request and validation plan with Engineering team. Drive approval processes and execution.</li>

<h3>Minimum qualifications:</h3><ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.</li>
<li>2 years of experience in program or project management.</li>
<li>Experience with leading NPI operations management, supply chain management/manufacturing operations, or development/operations engineering.</li>
<li>Experience with Contract Manufacturer/Original Equipment Manufacturer(CM/OEM) management.</li>
</ul><br><h3>Preferred qualifications:</h3><ul>
<li>MBA or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, or a related technical field.</li>
<li>4 years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or operations engineering with a focus on end-to-end program management.</li>
<li>Experience with leading initiatives from initial development through global launch.</li>
<li>Ability to travel internationally up to 25% as needed.</li>
<li>Excellent quantitative reasoning and problem-solving skills to define and execute operational approaches.</li>
<li>Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li>
