from Google careersOur Security team works to create and maintain the safest operating environment for Google's users and developers. Security Engineers work with network equipment and actively monitor our systems for attacks and intrusions. In this role, you will also work with software engineers to proactively identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities.
As a Security Engineer, you are not just reacting to threats, you are anticipating them. You will have impact in our cybersecurity operations, leading the development and implementation of advanced security strategies to protect our critical assets in a dynamic threat landscape. Identify security issues and implement and design security controls, tools, and services to improve security systems and processes.
The position further requires the applicants to obtain a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform GPS work. Failure to maintain (or obtain, if applicable) the appropriate U.S. Government clearance or customer screening requirements that results in the employee unable to perform the requirements of the role, may result in employment action up to and including termination.
Must be a US Citizen to meet customer and compliance requirements, including potential access to classified information.
