Responsibilities
- Align legal strategy with Japan’s business priorities and take the lead on crafting legal strategies for strategic product launches and partnerships.
- Navigate complex and unique local regulations to mitigate reputational risk and avoid business disruptions. Advise executive management and cross-functional project teams in Japan, APAC, and the USA with regard to these legal risks.
- Drive operational efficiency by partnering across regions to accelerate the adoption of global legal operations tools and standardize processes to enable resource reinvestment.
- Manage litigation and regulatory matters, driving reforms to our high-volume civil litigation model to optimize support structures and reduce outside counsel spend.
