Senior Automation Technical Program Manager, Pixel watch

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Responsibilities

• Define product and select architecture, in collaboration with design and ID teams, via early design for automation engagement.
• Generate functional requirements specifications for automated adhesive, sealing, screw driving, cleaning, conveyance, and other precision electronic assembly operations.
• Automate solution design and development, in conjunction with manufacturing and automation partners.
• Develop automation implementation schedules and oversight of factory and site acceptance testing activities.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 5 years of experience in program management
• 5 years of experience with process or product development with electro-mechanical products.
• Experience in leading end-to-end project management, including design for excellence (DFX) discussions, design, develop, and implement automated systems, return on investment analysis, SOW negotiations, vendor coordination, testing, and support.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in high-volume and high-precision consumer electronics.
• Experience with robotic manipulators, vision systems, and material handling systems.
• Experience in manufacturing process or fixture development and validation.
• Experience generating functional requirements specifications.
• Experience with NX or other CAD tools, DOE, GRR, tolerance analysis, and statistical analysis.
