Role Overview
The Senior Analyst – SC Analytics (Demand) supports the demand planning function by developing data-driven forecasting solutions, improving forecast accuracy, and standardizing demand planning processes. The role leverages analytics, forecasting models, and cross-functional collaboration to enable better business decisions and optimized demand planning.
Key Responsibilities
Apply statistical forecasting models and fine-tune parameters to align forecasts with market dynamics.
Analyze forecasting outputs and present insights to support business decision-making.
Identify patterns and trends through advanced data analysis to support forecasting and diagnostics.
Monitor and publish performance metrics such as forecast accuracy and bias.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to identify improvement opportunities.
Support forecasting for new product launches and manage related data requirements.
Extract, transform, and manage data using SQL, Excel, Python, and tools such as GCP, Tableau, Dash, and AFO.
Collaborate with brand marketing and cross-functional teams to align demand forecasts with launch strategies and promotions.
Facilitate consensus meetings to align stakeholders on demand plans and assumptions.
Drive process standardization and tool adoption through training and best practices.
Work with data science and technical teams to enhance forecasting processes and solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Supply Chain, or related field
3+ years of relevant experience in analytics or supply chain
Strong data analysis and statistical skills
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau / Power BI / Looker)
Familiarity with forecasting methods (Time Series models such as Exponential Smoothing, ARIMA; basic ML techniques)
Proficiency in Python / R / SQL / Excel
Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
Understanding of Supply Chain / CPG / Retail domain
Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Operations or related field
5+ years of relevant experience
Certifications such as CSCMP or APICS
Advanced Excel and ERP knowledge (SAP APO preferred)
