from Genentech careers

The Position

A healthier future. It’s what drives us to innovate. To continuously advance science and ensure everyone has access to the healthcare they need today and for generations to come. Creating a world where we all have more time with the people we love. That’s what makes us Roche.

The Department of Research Oncology is seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager to join the Project Management group. This role is a key bridge between scientific innovation and strategic execution, serving as the linchpin between scientific teams and strategic goals. You will manage complex research issues, influence technical strategies, and ensure early-stage drug candidates move efficiently toward preclinical development. The ultimate goal is to discover and develop innovative therapies for patients through exceptional project management.

World-class execution in therapeutic discovery requires deep scientific expertise, strong cross-functional collaboration, management of fluid resources, and the integration of scientific rigor and process excellence.

The Opportunity:

Strategic Partnership & Team Leadership

  • Partner with Project Leads to discover and assess the clinical value of new therapies.

  • Articulate, monitor, and amend team goals, driving the team toward key deliverables and identifying scientific questions.

  • Ensure timely and data-driven decision making by navigating governance and facilitating proactive risk evaluation and mitigation.
