Our mission is to protect people, devices, and data everywhere. We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support the growth of our Public Sector business in Italy.
In this role, you will serve as a key technical advisor and trusted partner for Public Sector organisations across Italy, including central and local government, healthcare, education, regional authorities, law enforcement, and public administration bodies. You will drive technical enablement, solution design, and architectural leadership to help these organisations strengthen their cybersecurity posture and modernise their digital environments.
Responsibilities As a Systems Engineer – Public Sector, you will:
• Lead all technical aspects of the customer engagement process, including responses to RFIs, RFPs/RFQs, and coordination of Proof of Concept activities with internal teams and strategic partners
• Interpret and translate customer technical requirements into secure, scalable, and resilient solutions
• Act as the primary technical contact for Public Sector customers, working closely with the aligned sales team to support account strategy and long‑term customer success
• Maintain deep knowledge of Fortinet’s portfolio, including solutions for secure networking, Zero Trust, cloud security, SOC modernisation, and endpoint protection
