What you’ll achieve:
As an Engineering Technician, you will lead advanced prototype builds, troubleshoot complex assemblies, and ensure rigorous testing standards. You’ll collaborate with design teams to refine processes and mentor junior technicians. You will champion quality, safety, and continuous improvement across all development phases.

You will:
- Support engineering teams on program tasks and deliverables and for configuring systems or boards and setting up test equipment
- Acquire hardware for and build / configure systems with various unsupported devices or configurations and perform rework, soldering on printed circuit assemblies and maintaining lab compliance and safety
- Be responsible for taking oscilloscope measurements, compiling data, and making technical recommendations
- Setup and maintain a rack of client systems that are for remote engineering development and testing
- Manage lab infrastructure and test systems as required by RENBE to include tracking all systems in the labs attached to the Dell internal lab network (PGNET) and ensuring they are registered, and information is updated in RENBE database

Essential Requirements
- 4–6 years of professional experience in a lab technician or engineering role within enterprise server environments.
- Material and logistics management skills, including acquiring and arranging shipment of engineering system parts and commodities/devices via the Mtrack system.
- Expertise in PCB work, including interpreting schematics and layouts of PCBs, debugging PCBAs to board-level components, and performing soldering for component-level repairs.
Firmware and system debugging proficiency, with experience repairing and updating firmware and code on enterprise server systems, and troubleshooting unexpected errors in iDRAC or BIOS firmware; ability to perform HW/SW updates as needed.
Desirable Requirements
- Agile tool experience to find essential information via specific DPN (Dell Part Number)
- Familiarity with VMWare OS
