## Your Responsibilities

As an Automation Engineer for John Deere Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, IA, you will:

* Execute plans related to development and integration of automation technologies on vehicles.
* Identify, define, and document technology requirements for future product development programs
* Work across engineering disciplines and teams including vehicle design, software, obstacle intelligence, and PV&V test groups.

## What Skills You Need

* Strong communication and organizational skills
* A proven ability to work with teams and apply problem solving techniques
* Experience balancing multiple tasks
* 1 or more years of cumulative product design experience

## What Makes You Standout

* Knowledge of machine control systems, automation methods, and/or robotics
* Knowledge of lidar, radar, or vision systems.
* Understanding of off-road earthmoving equipment, their applications, and working environment.
* Effective organizational and communication skills to collaborate activities with supply management, manufacturing, quality, PV&V, suppliers, and other stakeholders
* Demonstrated project management and leadership skills

## Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
