The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.

## Your Responsibilities

As a Part Time Student Safety Technical for JD Davenport Works located in Davenport, IA, you will:

* Support risk assessments and related documentation
* Assist with fork truck certifications, recertifications, record tracking, and fleet access system management
* Support shop floor activity, including incident investigations and GEMBA and HOP engagements. Project Work
* Support confined space program reviews, updates, and coordination of drills
* Catalog standard racks, define acceptable stacking heights, and identify unacceptable loading conditions
* Assist with light duty program coordination and tracking

This position is NOT available to students on immigration visas

## What Skills You Need

* Currently pursuing a degree in safety or an engineering-related field; others may apply
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
* Must be registered as a full-time student at an (a U.S/.local) accredited college/university
* Graduation date of Spring 2027 or later
* Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
* Available to work 16-20 hours during the academic year
* Available to work 30-40 hours during the summer semester
* Must be able to commute to the work location in Davenport, IA. (Note: Relocation is not provided)

$15 - $40 hourly based on published rates for business function and education level.
