Job description
from Datadog careersDatadog is seeking a Director of Product Management for Core Platforms to lead the internal platforms that power our global engineering organization. This is an internal-first platform leadership role, focused on enabling Datadog engineers to build, scale, and operate products efficiently and reliably.
You will lead a team of 15+ Product Managers, including both Individual Contributors and Group Product Managers, responsible for defining and executing the plans for Datadog’s Core Platforms. These platforms form the foundation of our product development ecosystem, driving developer velocity, platform leverage, and cost-efficient scale across the company.
This role owns the product vision, roadmap, and execution for critical platform capabilities while partnering closely with senior engineering leadership to ensure Datadog continues to operate at hyper-scale with high reliability and strong economic discipline.
Your scope includes Datadog’s core data platforms driving large-scale ingesting, transformation and storage and also internal developer platforms, emerging capabilities such as AI-assisted development and modern data architectures, and the foundational compute, storage, and networking services that power Datadog’s datacenters and enable reliable, cost-efficient scale.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive Platform Adoption: Partner with engineering and product teams to ensure widespread adoption of shared platforms and Golden Paths, reducing duplication and accelerating delivery.
- Improve Operational Efficiency: Improve developer velocity, time-to-production, and operational efficiency across Datadog’s engineering ecosystem.
