The Cisco Wireless Feature & System Engineering team builds end-to-end wireless capabilities across access points, controllers, and cloud-managed platforms. We design features that span device software, control planes, and management systems to deliver seamless, secure, and high-performance enterprise Wi-Fi.
Your Impact
As a Senior Wireless Radio Software Engineer, you will lead development of radio firmware and driver components, driving Wi-Fi feature enablement and system-level performance across platforms
- Lead design and development of radio firmware and driver subsystems
- Drive implementation of complex 802.11 features and optimizations
- Debug and resolve challenging cross-layer issues (RF, firmware, driver, system)
- Work directly with chipset vendors to influence and resolve firmware behavior
- Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of wireless systems
- Mentor engineers and guide technical direction within your domain
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve team efficiency and workflows
Minimum Qualifications -:
- BE/BTech with 7+ Years of experience or ME/MTech with 5+ Years of experience in wireless or embedded software development
- Strong expertise in C/C++ and low-level systems programming
- Deep understanding of 802.11 protocols, features, and system behavior
- Experience with radio firmware, drivers, or data path development
- Strong debugging skills across firmware and system layers
- Experience collaborating with chipset vendors
- Ability to lead subsystem design and execution
