from Cisco careersJob Summary
The Korea Localization & Regulatory Program Manager plays a critical role in enabling market access for the import, certification, and sale of Cisco products in the Korean market. As the primary coordinator between the global product teams, corporate compliance, certification laboratories, regulatory authorities, and the Korea sales team, this role directly supports product launches and revenue realization. By navigating complex regulatory requirements (such as KC EMC, Safety, Radio, VSFT, and environmental regulations), this position is essential to sustaining the continuous growth of Cisco Korea’s business.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance Oversight: Identify and verify regulatory requirements (KC EMC, Safety, Radio, VSFT, environmental regulations, etc.) necessary for product sales in Korea and support their timely acquisition.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact and coordinator between Cisco’s global product teams, corporate compliance, external certification laboratories (e.g., Nemko, HCT, KTL), Korean regulatory authorities, and internal sales and service teams.
- Market Access Lifecycle Management: Manage the product approval process, follow up on CCW (Cisco Commerce Workspace) registrations, and monitor/support updates necessitated by regulatory changes.
- Technical and Regulatory Support: Provide guidance on resolving regulatory challenges and addressing compliance inquiries regarding complex product configurations, such as PoE (Power over Ethernet) products.
- Strategic Advisory: Proactively identify shifts in laws and regulations and integrate these insights into product and sales strategies to minimize business risks.
