We are seeking an experienced FI Specialist to lead the design, implementation, enhancement, and support of SAP Finance solutions within a complex S/4HANA landscape.

The ideal candidate combines deep functional expertise across Record-to-Report processes with strong technical acumen, integration experience, and the ability to influence business and technology stakeholders. This role will act as a trusted advisor to Finance, lead complex initiatives, and drive solution excellence across SAP and connected enterprise platforms.


B.responsible

  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP Finance processes across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Intercompany Accounting, Financial Closing, and Reconciliation processes.

  • Own end-to-end solution design for Finance initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards, business objectives, and SAP best practices.

  • Partner with Finance leadership and business stakeholders to understand strategic requirements and translate them into scalable SAP solutions.

  • Drive business process harmonization and standardization across legal entities, business units, and geographies.

  • Lead fit-gap workshops, solution design discussions, and architecture reviews for complex Finance transformation initiatives.

  • Act as the primary functional lead for SAP Finance-related projects, enhancements, production support, and system integrations.

  • Review and approve functional specifications, technical designs, testing strategies, and deployment plans.

  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process improvements, ensuring system stability and process efficiency.

  • Provide leadership during critical production incidents, driving root-cause analysis, remediation plans, and long-term corrective actions.

  • Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architecture, Integration, Data, Treasury, Tax, Controlling, Procurement, and Engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.

  • Mentor junior consultants and specialists, providing guidance on SAP Finance design principles, troubleshooting techniques, and delivery best practices.

  • Support roadmap planning and continuous improvement initiatives across Finance systems and processes.

B.skilled

  • 8–12 years of hands-on SAP Finance experience with multiple end-to-end implementation, migration, or transformation programs.

  • Deep expertise in: General Ledger Accounting (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Intercompany Accounting, Financial Close and Reconciliation Processes, Foreign Currency Valuation, Accruals and Provisions

  • Strong understanding of: Universal Journal (ACDOCA), Ledger Architecture and Parallel Accounting, Document Splitting, Financial Statement Reporting, Validations, Substitutions, S/4HANA Finance innovations and SAP best practices

  • Experience designing scalable solutions in global and complex business environments.
    Ability to challenge requirements and drive adoption of SAP standard functionality where appropriate.

  • Strong understanding of SAP Finance architecture, data models, and end-to-end transaction flows.

  • Proven experience integrating SAP Finance with:

    • Data warehouses

    • Middleware solutions

    • Legacy ERP and non-SAP applications (Blackline, OneStream, etc.)

  • Experience working with integration technologies such as: SAP CPI, SAP PI/PO, MuleSoft, REST APIs, Web Services, IDocs

  • Ability to lead troubleshooting efforts across multiple systems and technology layers.

  • Ability to bridge discussions between functional and technical teams and ensure solution quality.

  • Lead delivery of complex Finance projects, enhancements, and transformation initiatives.

  • Own functional workstreams and coordinate activities across multiple teams and vendors.

  • Prepare, Review and Approve (as needed): Solution Designs, Functional Specifications, Technical Specifications, Test Strategies, Cutover Plans

  • Drive SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect triage, deployment planning, and hypercare support.

  • Manage competing priorities and provide clear status reporting to stakeholders and leadership.

  • Build strong relationships with Finance leadership, Product Managers, Architects, and Engineering teams.

  • Influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations and solution expertise.

  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Act as a trusted advisor for SAP Finance processes and system capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Controlling (CO), Profitability Analysis (COPA), Group Reporting, Treasury, Tax, or Revenue Accounting.

  • Experience leading global Finance transformation or ERP modernization programs.

  • Experience mentoring team members and acting as a technical lead within a delivery organization.

  • SAP S/4HANA Finance certification is an advantage.

  • Experience with SAP FICA (good to have)
