The Senior Manager - Cyber Defence and Response  is fully responsible for establishing, monitoring, scaling and continuously improving the cybersecurity services under their domain. The BHI Cyber Defence and Response services will be required to have deep domain expertise in Cyber Threat landscape, Security operations, Incident response and threat hunting. 

 

The role is required to work together with all other BHI executive and operational stakeholders to drive overarching services and programs and to proactively find opportunities for improvement through collaboration. The role will act as a main point of contact within all brands in Booking Holdings Group for anything related to the cyber security services and capabilities in scope, such as CDR 24/7 Incident Response Service, CDR Post Escalation Incident Support Service, Threat Hunting Services and others. Specifically, they are responsible and accountable to keep the company secure and compliant by ensuring the quality, effectiveness and constant improvement of the owned defence and operations services while maintaining all these capabilities delivering high quality and resilient services. 

 

This role will own the strategy, execution and delivery of these cross brand services within their scope. To achieve this, they maintain relationships with CISOs, Senior Directors, Directors and Managers across the company and across the Brands to ensure delivery of shar

 

This role provides a hybrid way of working with an onsite presence of 2 days/week.

 

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties

 

Strategic Leadership and Service and Program Delivery: 

  • Own the BHI Cyber Defense Operations strategy and execution across all BHI brands. 
  • Work with the BHI Chief Security Officer e to understand business expectations, key initiatives and set meaningful yearly goals for Group Cyber Defense Operations. 
  • Produce and track a plan of action to reach Quarterly and yearly goals. 
  • Delivers mature, efficient, innovative, robust and resilient Cyber Response, Operations & Hunting Services and programs that are top of line compared to industry standards.
  • Produces the required metrics and reports. 
  • Consistent in Meeting all relevant SLAs. 

Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement and Efficiency: 

  • Drive continuous improvements and operational efficiency in Cyber Response, Operations & Hunting Services, ensuring the appropriate resources and budget are applied to each topic and that the organization and people are set up to deliver. 
  • Proactively monitor services, capabilities and control effectiveness within Cyber Response, Operations & Hunting Services and take action when needed. 
  • Maintain Operational Readiness: Regularly engage with operational and technical teams and tools to stay informed about the current state of affairs, potential risks, and emerging issues. This hands-on approach ensures readiness to step in and contribute effectively during critical moments. 
  • Collaboration and Communication: 
  • Work with a wide variety of stakeholders in booking.com and BHI to ensure cohesive delivery.
  • Create deep connections across the Booking Holdings Group and represent Booking.com Security at Group level for the capabilities within the Cyber Response & Hunting Services scope 

Team Management and Development: 

  • Effectively manage multiple teams and managers with varying scopes within cybersecurity, ensuring leadership and accountability across all levels and delivery of the services and business outcomes.

Leadership and Hands-On Involvement in High Impact Situations: 

  • Ensures incidents and crises are handled timely and appropriately within their area and impact is kept to a minimum. 
  • Engages Directly in Operational Challenges: Actively participate in resolving critical operational issues, risks of not meeting SLAs, and incidents with significant potential impact on services. This includes being on the front lines with the team, providing direct, hands-on support and leadership during high-pressure situations to ensure swift and effective resolution. 
  • Lead by Example in Crisis Management: Demonstrate leadership in crisis situations by working closely with technical teams on the ground. Be prepared to engage in detailed technical work if necessary, to guide and assist in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making processes.
