BAE Systems is looking for a qualified Sr. Corrosion Engineer to join our team for an exciting opportunity to work on a unique government contract. The Minuteman III (MM III) ICBM System Program Office (SPO) must ensure a safe, secure, and reliable weapon system until it is replaced by the Sentinel weapon system currently under acquisition. Our support contract assists the SPO in MM III technical sustainment engineering, providing breadth and depth of capabilities for system engineering and integration, risk management, technical assessment, acquisition program managemnet, strategy development, organization and change management, interface with operations and logistics, business analysis, mission effectiveness, and demonstration/validation.
Our experts are responsible for integrating weapon system management, from inception to retirement. As a Senior Corrosion Engineer, you will work on a high-performing team to provide engineering, technical, and administrative expertise to the government to identify corrosion effects, assess corrosion impacts, and assist with implementing corrosion mitigations.
Additional responsibilities:
- Perform inspections and studies, review program documentation and technical data (e.g., operating procedures, drawings, and specifications), support requirement developments, and report on new prevention and control materials, processes, and technologies
- Evaluate alternate materials and substrates to address obsolescence issues/concerns, reduction of hazardous material usage/finishes, and implementation of pollution prevention measures
