About This Job
Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE Systems, has an opening at our Hill Air Force Base, Utah location for a Network Engineer/COMSEC Custodian to work on our network team. The selected candidate will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of Strategic Deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. The position will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, ACLs, VPN, QoS)
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
- Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Perform professional technical work that requires in-depth knowledge and diversified application of network engineering principles, theories, concepts, practices, and techniques
