from BAE Systems careersJob Description Coordinates the internal flow of material and in process manufactured hardware to support manufacturing schedules and operations commitments for engineering and production programs. Support the manufacturing process by performing inventory management and the associated material support and documentation maintenance activities. Prepares and verifies assembly kits to meet pre-scheduled release dates using pick list. Selects stock using first in-first out system, checks and records receiving date, vendor date code (when required) and quantity issued. Interfaces with materials and production personnel to resolve materials shortages. Responds to requests for materials needed for engineering or production programs, works from computerized reports. Ensures that materials are properly packaged or repackaged per required special handling specifications, when necessary, in electrostatic bags or as otherwise specified. Labels and stocks in specified bins or fills back-order requirements, both for the assembly floor or kits in process. Arranges for pickup of completed assembly kits or point of use (POU) material for designated areas. Performs cycle counts, audits and physical inventories. Audits inventory records for accuracy on a regular basis. Checks actual stock against amounts recorded. Ensures that all required materials are properly identified with safety information and handling labels in conformance with Company and OSHA guidelines.…
