We are seeking a highly capable Technical Specialist with strengths in advanced manufacturing, automation, and digital inspection technologies to support production, development programs, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will help scale modern manufacturing capabilities including 3D scanning, automated inspection, robotics integration, and process optimization while ensuring repeatable manufacturing practices across service centers and production environments.
The ideal candidate combines solid technical depth with hands-on problem solving, data-driven decision making, and the ability to translate complex engineering requirements into practical manufacturing solutions.
The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution – from strategic capital investments, industrial operations and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management.
What You’ll Do:
- Support and expand the use of 3D scanning technologies for production hardware, development efforts, and research initiatives.
- Analyze scan data using advanced inspection software and generate clear, customer-ready dimensional reports.
- Develop standardized workflows, best practices, and documentation for scan data processing and reporting.
- Train and mentor additional personnel in digital inspection tools and methodologies.
- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve quality, throughput, repeatability, and cost efficiency.
- Learn and deeply understand existing manufacturing processes in order to optimize workflows, eliminate non-value-added steps, and ensure operations are mature and stable prior to introducing new technologies or automation.
