We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to lead a team of Buyers in managing contracts with various government agencies. The successful candidate will have a strong background in procurement or supply chain management, production and manufacturing operations, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to manage staff and resources effectively. This is a key leadership role that requires a high level of expertise, strategic thinking, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. This position requires working in the office at least three days a week.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in proposal efforts for major contracts
- Participate in supplier negotiations and execution of agreements, including materials and services
- Review and negotiate legal terms and conditions
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures, and advise internal customers and program management on supply chain-related matters
- Manage geographically dispersed staff for direct procurements
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff, including mid-year and end-of-year performance reviews
- Represent the procurement function in meetings with suppliers, program management, and other stakeholder functions
- Analyze data and present procurement metrics to effectively manage staff and operations
- Support annual ISO9001/AS9100D certification audits and other USG audits as required
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management within a production and manufacturing environment
