from BAE Systems careersJob Description BAE Systems is seeking a full-time Systems Engineer (w/Mechanical focus) to be a part of our Interface Management team working on the US Sea-Launch-Cruise-Missile (SLCM-N) Weapons Program. The selected candidate will work closely with numerous engineering teams supporting the US Navy's Strategic Systems Programs command and its industry partners. About SLCM-N In response to global threats, SSP is continuing to defend our nation by adding a second nuclear defense system option to their mission responsibilities with the SLCM-N Program. SSP is building this modular, survivable cruise missile system that will be outfitted on some submarines and surface ships. SSP is responsible for designing, developing, building, and deploying the SLCM-N Weapons System and BAE Systems is supporting our customer in the pre-development activities for the program. Our primary function is to ensure that all weapon system interface requirements are correctly defined and properly allocated to the cognizant organization. This is achieved by performing technical change evaluations and interfacing with government and contractor activities to define Weapon System Coordinated Interfaces. Accuracy, integrity, the ability to work independently, and a natural curiosity are important traits for a successful candidate to demonstrate.
