from BAE Systems careersJob Description BAE Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer (Electrical focus) to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. Accuracy, integrity, subject matter expertise, and the ability to work well independently and with others are important traits we expect the successful candidate to possess and demonstrate. This position supports BAE Systems as SSP’s system integration contractor. This position ensures compatibility of the weapon system, the ship, and facilities. This is done so by managing interface requirements, which are requirements at the boundaries where subsystems meet. This position is responsible for processing changes against the electrical interface requirements, modeling electrical interface requirements in digital tools, and collaborating with government and contractor stakeholders. The electrical interface requirements include but are not limited to power, telemetry, software, electromagnetic interference, and cable requirements. In response to global threats, SSP is continuing to defend our nation by adding a second nuclear defense system option to their mission responsibilities with the SLCM-N Program. SSP is building this modular, survivable cruise missile system that will be outfitted on some submarines and surface ships.
