BAE Systems is looking for a Value Stream Supervisor (VSS) in our Louisville, KY facility to support our submarine product lines on the weekends 2nd shift (5:00 PM - 5:00 AM). This individual will be responsible for direct management of touch labor and for providing primary leadership to the production team for the assigned shift.
As a Value Stream Supervisor you will:
- Be the primary program point of contact for the assigned shift and provide leadership of day to day execution.
- Oversee the overall manufacturing process to ensure schedule is achieved by working with manufacturing engineering, production planning, and quality control.
- Plan and direct the activities of the manufacturing team and set clear expectations and goals to ensure focus on safety, quality, schedule and delivery.
- Plan and organize production processes and availability of necessary resources.
- Assess and apply measures, methods, and techniques designed to improve safety, product and process quality, efficiency, productivity, and equipment and process performance; recommend changes in working conditions and modification in machine tools and plant facilities.
- Work proactively with the management team to ensure that site efforts and project initiatives are aligned with business needs and strategic direction.
- Support and encourage a culture and an attitude with an emphasis on safety, and quality improvement.
