BAE Systems is hiring a Strategic Operations Manager to support our Combat Mission Systems (CMS) business in Louisville, KY. In this role, you will own the coordination and execution of the daily operations for both our Navy Barrel and Army Cannon manufacturing operations. The role will manage both machining product lines with direct and indirect supervision of employees across all operating shifts and assigned supporting functions. You will drive the long-range strategic planning process for your assigned operations by overseeing and managing aspects of engineering, manufacturing, production control, and supply chain management. You will define goals, improve technologies, and resolve problems in conjunction with managers of engineering, manufacturing, program management, and supply chain. Additionally, you will develop operations-related plans, budgets, policies, and procedures, and maintain Safety, Health, and Environmental compliance relating to the production facility and your assigned area.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a cross-functional team to support both Navy Barrel and Army Cannon product lines, with direct and indirect supervision of employees across all operating shifts and assigned supporting functions.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of production, including the coordination of changes regarding scheduling, resource allocation, equipment, and workflow management.
- Identify and lead activities that optimize production processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards and meeting production delivery requirements.
