A challenging opportunity exists for a motivated individual within the Sensing Technologies Product Line within the FAST Labs™ business area. Project finance plans, controls, and reports program performance relating to cost and schedule according to the Earned Value Management System. The candidate will be responsible for the financial execution and analysis of several large programs which will include planning and baseline integrity, internal reporting, Earned Value Management System and Life Cycle Management compliance, and financial salient forecasting. The individual will be expected to provide financial support, expertise and guidance to program managers, program engineering managers, and more junior members of the Finance team.

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite at our office in Merrimack, NH and remotely from an alternative workplace. To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must reside within a comfortable daily commute of Merrimack, or possess a willingness to fully relocate to the area at their own expense.

Job tasking to include:
  • Supporting weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting requirements
  • Support the development, review and presentation of financial forecasts, including the Operating Plan, Quarterly Business Review (QBR) and the long-term Integrated Business Plan (IBP)
  • Reporting & presenting financials to management and customers
  • Serving as a full business partner to the program teams
  • Working with the contracts function for funding, billings and other contractual items
  • Creating and influencing program baselines through earned value management
  • Developing and monitoring program risks and opportunities
  • Developing financial forecasts and analyzing estimates at completion
  • Significant program team contributor. Coordinating team meetings and reviews
  • Ensure compliance to internal controls while seeking out opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Assist with proposal support as necessary through pricing basis of estimates, preparing request for bid approvals (RBA), and participating in fact-finding, statements of position, and negotiations


Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of work experience or equivalent experience; alternatively, a master’s degree and 2+ years of work experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools with particular efficiency using Microsoft Excel

  • Demonstrated problem solving and in-depth analytical skills

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and present financial data to other functions in an accurate, concise and understandable manner

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to prioritize and self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to make decisions with sound judgement while complying with policies and procedures



Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, ProPricer and Cobra

  • ​​​​​​​Experience with project forecasting and analysis, particularly in a US Defense environment

  • Experience in program finance and/or other finance functional disciplines

  • Understanding and knowledge of industry practices and standards as well as company policies



Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $101398 - $172377

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
