Job description
from BAE Systems careersJob Description
BAE Systems is seeking a Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Engineer to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. Knowledge of system integration, dynamic analysis capabilities, and a desire to mold Modeling, Simulation, Visualization, and Analysis (MSVA) processes and procedures are important traits we expect the successful candidate to possess and demonstrate.
This position will be responsible for developing models and simulations to support the SLCM-N Program, focusing on establishing capability in the interface design, system design, and architecture layers of the system pyramid. A successful candidate will design, develop, and integrate models & simulations that enable testing, validation, and evaluation of subsystems, ensuring alignment with SLCM-N program requirements and coordinated designs along with defining frameworks and standards for the program. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, develop, and validate models and simulations, utilizing expertise in simulation development, modeling, and programming languages such as C++, Python, and/or MATLAB. Additionally, they will contribute to the establishment of a modeling and simulation framework that supports the program's goals and objectives, and may help to stand up an organization-wide working group for modeling and simulation to facilitate collaboration and knowledge-sharing across teams.
