Job Description
BAE Systems is looking for a Material / Logistics Planning Analyst to join our team at our Radford, VA site.
The Material / Logistics Planning Analyst will be responsible for the shipment of trucks from the Nitrocellulose (NC) Department and maintaining inventory of necessary shipping materials. This position primarily works a 5/40 schedule (Monday-Friday 8 hours / day) and will include some weekend work with the ability to flex days during the week.

As a Material / Logistics Planning Analyst, you will:
  • Review Purchase Orders for customer delivery requirements
  • Review all pertinent lab data to be entered on the Certificate of Analysis for Customers
  • Compose Certificate of Analysis and send to required internal and external customers
  • Coordinate with logistics and NC Area Management to effectively forecast for the shipment of materials
  • Prepare shipping forecast over week/month/year
  • Coordinate with magazine area the requirement for truck movement over a 7 day schedule
  • Maintain and update daily the drum and trailer count for external customers
  • Attend daily meetings and update team on shipments and detail any roadblocks to meeting delivery goals
  • Coordinate with quality to ensure C of A meets the customer requirements
  • Physical inventory every week of items requiring loading of products
  • Prepare a weekly metric to be shared with management of planned versus actual
  • Work closely with operators on packout needs and scheduling
  • Maintain all records of shipments and archive as required
  • Flex your work schedule to support the 7 day operation to achieve shipment goals
  • Coordinate with the main laboratory around testing results and timely return of results



Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • High School diploma and 8 years experience or the overall equivalent
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Ability to physically count inventory
  • Ability to work weekends as needed


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • At least 5 years of manufacturing experience and experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with supply chain or inventory management
  • Experience creating shipping forecasts
  • Experience working with other departments to meet deadlines #LI-Onsite #LI-JR1


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $75254 - $127930
