BAE Systems is hiring a Project Manager to support our Maritime Solutions business. This role will lead a fabrication team to coordinate and direct the work of trades to perform work for the entire fabrication project.
The Fabrication Project Manager has responsibility to efficiently meet project safety, quality, schedule, and cost goals. Performance for this position will be evaluated based on the success of the overall fabrication projects and against predetermined safety, quality, schedule, and cost standards.
As a Project Manager, you will:
- Work with multiple departments and processes to support production efforts across entire fabrication team to support work execution, problem solving, planning, and process improvement.
- Lead and facilitate teams through issues proactively across multiple departments.
- Provide training support across team/peers and interact with internal/external customers across the enterprise.
- Be directly responsible for the efficient execution of work items and the conditions of the areas in which they are assigned.
- Report directly to the Director of Programs.
- Work directly with production, and all other support trades to eliminate obstacles in the way of project success.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the entire team for their assigned projects.
- Serve as a direct point of contact for all activity on the project(s) and have responsibility to direct production labor and support resources in order to successfully navigate the entire fabrication project.
