We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Fort Walton Beach, with a focus on Electronics and Surface Mount Technology (SMT). The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies, with a strong emphasis on surface mount technology. This is a senior-level position that requires a deep understanding of electronics manufacturing, process development, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies, including surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole technology (THT)
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, reducing defects, and increasing productivity
- Develop and implement test and inspection procedures to ensure high-quality electronic assemblies
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products and to provide feedback on design for manufacturability (DFM)
- Develop and maintain documentation, including process documentation, work instructions, and bills of materials (BOMs)
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues, including process-related problems and equipment malfunctions
- Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
