Position Overview
Autodesk's Platform Services and Emerging Technology (PSET) team is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build and scale our Data Platform Control Plane. You'll design and build a scalable data platform with intelligent orchestration systems that manage data workflows, architect metadata-driven automation for storage and compute resources and create self-service control mechanisms that ensure platform reliability while empowering Autodesk teams to deliver impactful customer features. You will tackle complex distributed systems challenges, build sophisticated workflow orchestration engines, and develop the control plane services that enable seamless data operations across our product ecosystem. Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable control plane APIs for data platform orchestration, enabling self-service workflow management and resource provisioning
- Architect metadata-driven control systems that orchestrate billions of records daily across batch and real-time data pipelines
- Develop intelligent automation and scheduling systems that ensure data workflow resilience and minimize operational overhead
- Create control plane abstractions and APIs that empower Autodesk teams to rapidly configure and deploy data-driven customer features
- Implement comprehensive security and governance frameworks for data access control, lineage tracking, and compliance
- Drive observability initiatives to monitor workflow health, data quality, and control plane performance at scale
