from Apple careersThe Home Hardware EPM team drives the development of hardware sub-systems for new Home products, typically from architecture definition to mass production. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine technical depth with program management skills and executive exposure.
Home HW EPM is responsible for leading a broad cross-functional team in developing Home hardware products, leveraging a solid engineering background to recognize, assess, and communicate cross-functional issues and risks. Maintain good communication and provide multiple levels of status to individual contributors and executive management.
<h3>Minimum Qualifications</h3>BS degree in Engineering required; Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
3+ years of experience in hardware engineering or operations program management
Proven ability to effectively manage factory build events and vendor relationships
<h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3>Strong technical background in EE or ME
Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to manage complex build matrices and detailed build planning schedules
Superior attention to detail with a strong commitment to rigor and excellence
Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles and constant change; remains flexible and calm in the face of uncertainty
Experience interfacing with cross-functional teams including Systems Engineering, Mechanical design, Software/Firmware, Reliability, and Operations.
Ability to travel internationally to support build events
