About the Role:
As part of Anthropic's Global Safety, Intelligence, and Security (GSIS) team, the NYC Campus Security Manager serves as the operational security leader for Anthropic's New York City campuses. This position offers the opportunity to lead comprehensive security operations protecting cutting-edge AI research while building trust and security culture with Anthropic personnel. You'll serve as an approachable security partner who fosters open communication, oversees vendor performance, leads incident response, and coordinates cross-functional security initiatives that enable rather than restrict productivity. Working collaboratively with the greater Security Operations team, you'll balance hands-on operational leadership with strategic input on security planning while ensuring robust security posture across all NYC locations and maintaining AI Safety Level (ASL) compliance requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Campus Security Operations: Lead comprehensive security operations for NYC-based campuses, ensuring safety, security, and well-being of all employees, visitors, and assets
- Security Culture & Trust Building: Serve as approachable security partner who builds trust with Anthropic personnel, fostering open communication and integrating security practices into daily operations without creating barriers to productivity
