Role summary
Metrology Engineering Technicians support defect inspection/metrology tools and help drive continuous improvement and defect management in a semiconductor fabrication environment. This role partners closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to detect issues early, support excursion response, and help sustain stable tool performance across shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Metrology tool support (AOI/Review): Support recipe writing, robustness, matching checks, and monitoring plans across darkfield/brightfield Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) platforms
- Excursion response: Support defect excursion investigations, including data pull/analysis, containment documentation, and disposition support for discrepant material
- Inline metrology support: Support Photo CDSEM and film metrology platforms (e.g., inline film thickness and stress measurement)
- Defect data analytics: Review and classify defect data, identify trends, generate reports, and communicate results to Engineering and Management
