Senior Software Engineer - Embedded Algorithm Validation & Automation
Business Unit: Data Center and Energy Software
Location: Bangalore
About the Role
Join our Data Center and Energy Business Unit to automate validation of measurement and monitoring algorithms for power systems and data center infrastructure. You'll develop automated test frameworks, verify algorithm accuracy against industry standards, and ensure reliability before embedded deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute test cases for energy measurement and monitoring algorithms
- Develop automated test frameworks using Python (NumPy, SciPy)
- Validate algorithm accuracy against relevant industry standards (IEC 61557-12, IEC 61000-4-7, etc.)
- Create synthetic test signals and scenarios for comprehensive validation
- Analyze test results, generate reports, and document findings
- Collaborate with algorithm developers to ensure correctness and performance
- Use AI coding assistants and agents to accelerate test development and analysis
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering or related field
Experience:
- 4-8 years of experience in embedded test automation and validation using Python
Technical Skills:
- Strong Python programming with scientific libraries (NumPy, SciPy)
- Background in embedded systems testing
- Understanding of electrical fundamentals (voltage, current, power, harmonics)
- Basic signal processing knowledge (filtering, frequency analysis)
- Experience with test automation frameworks (pytest, unittest) and Git
- Comfortable using AI agents (GitHub Copilot, Claude) for productivity
Professional Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
- Good documentation and communication skills
- Team player with ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with IEC standards for energy measurement
- Understanding of three-phase power systems
