Senior Digital FPGA Engineer
About the Role
The charter of ADI’s Consumer Audio team is to develop cutting edge products for hearables, hearing health and prosumer audio end markets. These products and technologies are a key driver of growth in our portable and non-portable consumer business.
Requirements
Electronic Engineering/Computer Engineering degree with 5-8 years of progressive industry experience in digital RTL design and FPGA implementation (Xilinx Vivado, Synopsys Synplify)
Experience working with embedded processors/embedded software to bring up systems is highly desirable.
Working knowledge of digital verification with (System) Verilog and UVM.
Familiar with Matlab, Python or other signal and data processing tools.
Evidence of a hands-on approach to building/debugging real hardware is an advantage.
Must be a self-starter, should be able to work on assignments with minimal directions.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are critical for working, influencing and collaborating with the development group spread across the globe.
Responsibilities
Work with functional leads to define prototyping requirements for a given project.
Map the IC’s RTL to FPGA resources, and bridge to any required real-world interfaces, using off-the-shelf interface cards, or by defining custom solutions to be built.
Simulate the functionality/connectivity of the prototype system, with appropriate level of modelling.
Build infrastructure to validate the end system using a combination of scripting languages and embedded software.
Work closely with relevant design, DV and software engineers to debug anomalies seen in testing.
Enable/participate in customer demos of prototypes.
