Qual Support Engineer
Consumer Custom Silicon (CSS) Team
The Group:
The charter of the CSS team is to lead the market in selected technology domains with highly differentiated sensing and signal processing solutions.
Today these technology areas include Capacitive Sensing, Optical Image Stabilization, Optical Sensing and Power that drive growth in our portable and non-portable consumer business. As part of our expanding business needs we are now seeking to fill key positions within the team.
The Position:
The CSS group is currently seeking a Qual Support Engineer to coordinate the planning and execution of the qualification process of new products from the fields described.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Design, Design Evaluation Test and Reliability teams to define, prepare and execute the qualification process, including any new developments required to ensure that the different parts are exercised as required during the qualification tests.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Design, Design Evaluation, Test and Reliability teams to define the qualification plan for new products.
- Work with Design on defining how the part should be exercised on the different reliability stresses.
- Drive the hardware design for the different qual stresses, including options for board debug.
- Bring-up and debug of the qual solution pre-silicon and once devices are available.
- Support the Reliability engineers during the execution of the qualification tests.
- Drive debug of issues and rejects during qual execution.
- Documentation and analysis of the results including report compilations for the different tests.
The Candidate:
The candidate should have a strong knowledge of Analogue and Digital Electronics, be proactive, self-motivated, capable of accepting responsibility, and show initiative in identifying and solving challenging technical problems. The ideal candidate should have:
- 10+ years’ experience in an Engineering measurement role.
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
- Excellent debug skills.
- Strong Python (or similar) programming skills.
- Strong teamwork, inter-personal and communication skills.
- High coordination and leadership skills.
- PCB design/layout experience.
