from Amazon careersWe are seeking a highly skilled Camera sub-system Engineer to support the Ring camera product family across all development and manufacturing phases, from EVT and DVT to MP. This role requires strong capability in camera sub-system design understanding, process validation, and FACA-based issue analysis, ensuring the camera sub-system meets design intent and mass-production quality standards. The engineer will collaborate closely with Optics, ME, EE, IQ, TE, and supplier engineering teams to ensure stability, manufacturability, and performance of the camera module throughout development and production. Key job responsibilities Camera sub-system Design Validation • Lead camera hardware design and validation across EVT/DVT/PVT/MP to ensure alignment with system-level design intent. • Collaborate with lens, sensor, and ICR suppliers to analyze optical, mechanical, and electrical characteristics. • Participate in design simulations, tolerance analysis, and component characterization. • Review module design, assembly constraints, alignment parameters, and manufacturability considerations. Process Engineering FACA • Manage and monitor SMT, COB, HDM, AA, and Test processes to ensure production stability and high yield. • Lead FACA (Failure Analysis and Corrective Action) for optical, process, and assembly-related issues. • Conduct systematic root-cause analysis using design knowledge, process data, and statistical tools. • Validate supplier corrective actions and confirm their effectiveness…
