Amazon is seeking a Subject Matter Expert in Refrigeration Systems to lead our grocery operations' refrigeration infrastructure. This role combines technical expertise with specialized knowledge of grocery operations and food safety requirements. The position focuses on developing technical standards, implementing sustainable solutions, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. This collaborative role involves working across teams to drive innovation, optimize system performance, and maintain exceptional food safety standards. The ideal candidate will serve as the principal technical authority for refrigeration systems, driving innovation, efficiency, and reliability while ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. You will be responsible for developing technical standards, develop innovative solutions and implementing sustainable initiatives that optimize our refrigeration infrastructure. This role requires extensive experience in grocery refrigeration systems, including medium and low-temperature applications, display cases, walk-in units, and central plant operations. The position demands a strong background in food safety protocols, HACCP principles, and regulatory compliance, combined with expertise in building automation systems and energy management.
