Site Civil Engineer, Amazon Leo

Job description

As a Site Civil Engineer, you will be a key member of the Ground Systems development team responsible for ground station site design for the Leo Ground Gateway and Telemetry, Tracking, and Control (TT C) Sites. Leo Ground Gateways are used to ensure high data rate transmissions to and from our satellites and ensuring our customers are delighted by our service. Leo TT C systems are used to transmit and receive satellite command and control data in support of mission critical launch and early operation periods. Terminals include both state of art tracking antennas and innovative supporting systems. Key job responsibilities In this role you will: • Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers for design engineering and build-out of ground gateway sites • Own organization and processes to track program/project deliverables • Create workarounds and solutions to remove roadblocks • Review comprehensive design packages for antenna field, site civil and overall infrastructure layouts for compliance with specifications • Review contractor site documentation including vendor submittals and test reports for contract compliance • Identify and communicate issues, risks and dependencies to the internal engineering team. • Influence backlog prioritizing and manage escalations • Write status reports for project health and updates…
